Canvas Support

Canvas, the University’s Learning Management System (LMS), is used in nearly all classes at Wharton. For more information, visit the course materials section of the Student Computing Knowledge Base.

Public Technology

Technology can be found throughout the Wharton complex in classrooms, labs, Group Study Rooms (GSRs), and email bars. Wharton Computing’s Public Technology group deploys and maintains all of this technology. They also offer a variety of services that include audio conferencing, lab reservations, and video production or streaming. Problems and questions should be directed to the Student Computing Team.

Group Study Rooms

Group Study Rooms are located in Huntsman Hall and offer an ideal space for working with a team on a project. These rooms are all equipped with monitors and a computer, along with seating and white boards. GSRs can be reserved via Spike.

Weigle Information Commons (WIC)

The David B. Weigle Information Commons (WIC), located in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, is another great campus resource. WIC holds a variety of tech workshops and demos, houses various facilities students can use for projects, and features an extensive lending library of devices.

Penn Computer Connection

The Computer Connection is the campus-based computer store designed for students, faculty, and staff. It offers significant educational discounts on software and hardware purchases – often with more robust warranties than those offered at traditional retail outlets. (And the staff is friendly, too!)
